Z. Ismagilov State Museum of Music was founded on June 5, 1968 on the basis of the educational and consulting center of the Gnessin State Music and Pedagogical Institute (now the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music) that functioned in Ufa. Z. Ismagilov UGII is the only higher educational institution of the Republic of Bashkortostan that produces professional personnel in the field of musical, theatrical, choreographic and fine arts.
