South Russian State Polytechnic University named after M.I. Platov (SRSPU) is a higher educational institution in the Rostov region.  The university was opened in 1907 as the Don Polytechnic Institute, which became the first university in the south of Russia.

Training is conducted at seven faculties in the profiles:

• Information technology, management
• Innovation, organization of production
• Mechanical
• Building
• Technological
• Energy
• Geology, mining and oil and gas
• International education.

Students (22,000 people) are enrolled in 34 undergraduate areas, 25 master's degrees and 62 scientific profiles of postgraduate study. Every year, up to 2,000 applicants enter the university for budget places.

There are 12 dormitories on campus. Students live for 2-3 people in a room, separate showers, toilets are provided for every 4 rooms, on each floor there is a common kitchen, laundry.

The cost of living depends on the level of comfort, the form of training = from 850 to 3000 rubles per month.

Driving lessons are held at SRSPU. The cost of obtaining rights at a university driving school is from 8000 to 11 500 rubles.

Sports sections, creative courses: music, dance, art classes are also open for students. On a regular basis, the university holds:

There are two semesters in the academic year, at the end of which sessions are held. Classes are held from Monday to Friday-Saturday, daily starting at 9:00. Each pair is 1.5 hours.
