SibADI was founded in 1930 and throughout its history has educated highly qualified specialists in the field of transport and construction. In its work, the university uses innovative teaching methods and has a strong educational and scientific laboratory base.

The main activities of SibADI are:

• educational activities in the programs of higher, secondary vocational education, basic and additional general education, additional professional and basic programs of vocational education ;
• scientific activity;
• organization of socially significant events in the field of education, science, art and youth policy.

• Theory of control and design of earth-moving, road and construction machines in order to increase their efficiency;
• Mathematical modeling and system analysis, management and processing of information in industry and transport;
• Development and research of effective structures, buildings and structures;
• Resource-saving technologies for the production of building materials and products;
• Socio-economic aspects of the development of the region;
• Methodological, technological and organizational problems, development and implementation of quality management systems for the educational process in a technical university;
• Transport systems of cities and regions;
• Improvement of structures and methods of design, construction and operation of transport facilities (West Siberian region and Far North);
• Energy-efficient processes in construction;
• Dynamics of social processes and transformation of social institutions.

SibADI has three dormitories for 1294 places, which are designed for living:

• nonresident students for the entire period of their full-time studies;
• students for the period of passing exams and postgraduates, doctoral students for the period of dissertation, studying by correspondence;
• applicants for the period of entrance examinations.

Students are provided with meals in the canteen and buffets located in the educational buildings of the university.

On the eve of professional holidays, SibADI organizes and participates in various events: scientific conferences, exhibitions, master classes, sports competitions, agitation events, etc. The tradition of the university was the celebration of the anniversary of the founding of SibADI, which ends with the Solemn Ceremony of Awarding the Badge "Pride of SibADI".

SibADI has a vocal group and a folklore ensemble, which are among the best creative student groups in the city over the past 20 years.

Timing of the admission campaign:

• the beginning of the reception of documents - March 1;
• the beginning of accepting documents on the EPGU information system is June 20;
• completion of the reception of documents from applicants based on the results of additional entrance tests of a creative orientation - July 18;
• completion of acceptance of documents from applicants based on the results of internal entrance examinations - July 19;
• completion of internal entrance tests – July 25;
• completion of the reception of documents from applicants without passing the entrance tests - July 25.

The total number of students for 2022 is 6,017 people, including 498 foreigners.

During its activity, the university has educated over 60 thousand highly qualified specialists, among whom there are rectors, ministers, generals, mayors and governors. Graduates of SibADI occupy high positions in government bodies, various research and production associations, research institutes, construction trusts, architectural workshops, motor transport enterprises, etc. 

On the basis of the university, a program has been developed to promote employment and postgraduate support for graduates, including those with disabilities.

Many campaigns interested in expanding the staff provide an opportunity for SibADI students to undergo practical education after their graduation, further get a job in their specialty and receive a competitive salary.

Educational programs are designed for applicants with secondary general, secondary vocational or higher vocational education.

Admission to the university is carried out according to the results of the Unified State Exam, which are equated to the result of entrance examinations and (or) based on the results of internal entrance tests:

SibADI students studying full-time on a budgetary basis can apply for the following types of scholarships and other types of material support:

In 2019, under the federal project "New Opportunities for Everyone", the Institute of Additional Education at SibADI received a grant, within the framework of which 1789 people studied.
