North Caucasus Federal University (NCFU) is a federal higher education institution founded in 2012 during the reorganization. The basis for the creation of the existing NCFU were two universities: Stavropol State University and Pyatigorsk State Humanitarian and Technological University.

In Stavropol there are 8 dormitories of corridor and sectional types. One room is shared by 1-3 students, common areas are showers, toilets, kitchens, laundries, self-study rooms. The monthly price for accommodation depends on the building, the number of neighbors, the form of training (full-time, free), the amount of utilities. On average, students pay 700 p. per month; the price does not include payment for WiFi, use of personal household appliances.
Canteens, buffets of the university work on school days from 9:00 to 17:30. On extracurricular days, students can visit the city's supermarkets, cafes, restaurants.

There are two semesters in the academic year: autumn and spring. The study lasts from September to June. Classes are organized from Monday to Friday, sometimes taking place on Saturdays. One pair - 1.5 hours of lecture or practice, classes last from 8:00 to 21:40 with 8 pairs in the schedule. Holidays for students are held on public holidays, in winter - in January, in summer - in June-August.
