Nizhny Novgorod State Agricultural Academy (NGAA) is the largest institution of higher education of the Volga region in the agrarian region.

The basis for the current academy was the agrarian faculties of Nizhny Novgorod State University, allocated in 1930. Initially, the NGAA bore the title of Gorky Agricultural Institute, the current name was received after the Great Patriotic War. Over the entire history of its existence, more than 30,000 veterinarians, agronomists, engineers and other specialists have been graduated from the university.

Now about 6,000 people study at the university, most of them at the correspondence department. Among the representatives of the teaching staff there are many honored scientists, workers of higher education, specialists of Russia.

Accommodation, meals, prices

Students of the Academy live in five dormitories, one of them is equipped with ramps, signs, auxiliary signs for persons with disabilities. First of all, those who do not have housing within the city are represented for settlement: foreigners, non-residents. Places are also distributed between full-time students and those who pass the session or prepare a thesis.

The dormitories are equipped with 1826 beds in rooms for 2-4 people each. On the territory of one of the residential buildings there is a dining room.

The cost of living per month ranges from 413 to 1650 rubles. depending on the format of training (full-time / part-time, paid / free).

Activities Nizhny Novgorod State Agricultural Academy β€” NGSA

Students of the Academy take part in circles, sections of different orientations: scientific, sports, creative, social. This gives them the opportunity to develop their talents, communicate with peers, and implement their ideas.

Scientific clubs help students to participate in Olympiads, conferences of national, international levels. For example, in 2012, engineering students won the All-Russian Olympiad in Agricultural Mechanization.

Sports competitions are held in game types: football, basketball, volleyball, but students can also attend classes in wrestling, tennis, etc. Three years in a row - from 2009 to 2011 - the pupils of the academy led their university to the award "Governor's Cup" in all-around competitions.

The main buildings for training are located in Nizhny Novgorod, practical classes are held in the city of Kamenka, the village of Kamenki and several villages in the Novgorod region. The buildings of the Academy are equipped with:
