London Gates Education Group is an international educational group that runs educational projects for children and teenagers. The network's centers operate in London, Paris, Tel Aviv, Riga, Belgrade, Amsterdam, Brussels, and Tbilisi, serving more than 2,500 students.
The group was founded in 2010 by Yulia Desyatnikova — a doctor of psychological sciences with more than 30 years of experience in education, and the founder of the international projects London Gates and Gymnasium No. 1. She opened her first proprietary educational center in London.
Over the years, the group has educated more than 4,500 students, and its team includes more than 350 teachers worldwide. Instruction at all centers is conducted in English; the programs are built around the British school system and aimed at continuing education abroad.
Educational process
Classes are taught by instructors who are practicing professionals in their fields: scientists, journalists, mathematicians, and actors. Candidates are selected for the teaching team based on three criteria:
- A high level of English proficiency — candidates have lived, studied, and worked in Europe and the United States,
- Professional expertise in their subject,
- Successful completion of a series of psychological and pedagogical tests and interviews.
The group's centers offer a trial month of instruction, after which the family meets with the center's team to discuss the child's further educational path.
The psychological support service operates using evidence-based methods, providing individual online consultations with a psychologist for children aged 7 and older and for parents, diagnostic assessments consisting of three sessions, and family consultations.
