Higher School of Economics (HSE) - a non-profit public state university, which is located in the center of the capital of the Russian Federation, Moscow. In St. Petersburg, Perm and Nizhny Novgorod, there are branches of the institution. HSE was founded on a government initiative in 1992, which later received the status of a national research university.

The main building, which includes most of the departments of the Higher School of Economics, is located in the center of Moscow, on Myasnitskaya Street. Metro stations "Lubyanka" and "Chistye Prudy" are located nearby. Separate faculties are located in the buildings on Petrovka and Ilyinka.

The university has several of its own libraries, all educational buildings have access to WiFi. There is no clearly limited campus at the school. Ten hostels of the university, equipped with laundries, sports halls, canteens, are located in different parts of the city.

Admission to HSE University for international students is carried out entirely online. Applicants must:

1. Select a program from the university catalog,
2. Register on the university website and obtain a login and password for the personal account,
3. Upload the application and required documents in the personal account,
4. Complete entrance examinations: exams in core subjects and/or a portfolio in accordance with the requirements of the chosen program,
5. Track results in the personal account. Upon a positive decision, confirm enrollment consent,
6. Complete the educational document recognition procedure,
7. Obtain a visa invitation through the university's visa center, prepare documents for entry into Russia.

More than 63,000 students study at NIU VShE, over 5,800 of them are foreign nationals. Bachelor's and master's degree programs are available on a fee-paying basis; enrollment is also possible for government-funded places through quotas of the Russian Government and within scholarship competitions.

The Career Center of NIU HSE actively supports graduate employment: more than 150 partner companies, including Yandex, MTS, Kaspersky, Unilever and others, participate in educational and career programs. Graduates find employment in the fields of economics and finance, IT and artificial intelligence, public administration, law, media, science and education.

Dual degree programs with universities in China, Brazil, South Korea and other countries give graduates access to international academic and professional networks. Students who have completed exchanges through academic mobility programs in more than 50 countries gain international education experience that increases their competitiveness in the labor market.

Admission to the Higher School of Economics is based on exams. This requirement is relevant for undergraduate, graduate and doctoral studies. Graduates of schools entering the bachelor degree must submit the results of passing the EGE. The list of subjects and the passing score for each of them is posted on the official website of the university. For admission to the master's program, applicants take an exam in a foreign language and specialized subject.

Among the special requirements is the provision of a portfolio for admission to creative specialties (architecture, design, etc.). Deadlines for submission of documents may vary, so it is better to get acquainted with them at the official resources of the university.

For applicants who have won the All-Russian subject olympiads, there are incentives for admission - they come out of the competition.

Payment and financing of eduaction

For domestic students, tuition fees at the Higher School of Economics need to pay from 270,000 to 440,000 rubles per year for undergraduate and 220,000 to 330,000 rubles per year for the magistracy. Such variability in matters of payment is associated with a system of discounts for students with high academic achievements, for which they can offer discounts from 20% to 100%. Also, the faculty matters, as the price may differ for different faculties. For foreign undergraduate students the amount of payment for the year of study will be 4,368 USD / year, and for masters - 3,900 USD / year.

Higher School of Economics students have the opportunity to receive a state or university scholarship.

Students in need of a dormitory receive the opportunity to stay in one of the university dormitories. The amount of payment for the year of residence in such a hostel is about 10,000 rubles.

NIU VSHe provides several types of financial support for international students.

• Full scholarship (free tuition) for international applicants is available through three tracks: the HSE International Olympiad competition, the Rossotrudnichestvo quota, and the Open Doors Russian Scholarship Project olympiad. Winners receive free tuition in their chosen program. If a Russian-language program is selected — an additional year of free Russian language instruction is included,
• Academic discounts for high-achieving students: from 20% to 100% of tuition costs,
• Government and university scholarships are awarded to students with high academic performance during their studies,
