Gymnasium No. 33 was founded in 1962. The first director was Pyotr Tikhonovich Pokhilko, a participant in the Great Patriotic War. Today, the educational institution is considered one of the best in the city:
1-4 - pro-gymnasium classes. Starting from the second year, students learn English. Perhaps training in two shifts. Starting from grade 4, you can choose a Cossack orientation. An extended day group works.
Grades 5-9 - gymnasium classes with in-depth study of subjects: English, Russian language and literature, social studies. Sixth graders are traditionally trained in the second shift. In the sixth and ninth grades, the parallel of the Cossack orientation works.
Grades 10-11 - profile: philological and socio-humanitarian. Perhaps an in-depth study of the English language, the Russian language and literature, social studies. Training is carried out in the first shift.
For students of gymnasium No. 33 accommodation is not provided. Meals are provided for all students and teachers, for this purpose there is a dining room and a buffet. A cyclic menu has been developed, different for students of all ages. To control the quality of food, a marriage committee was established, approved by the director of the gymnasium. High school students receive buffet meals.
The social workers of the gymnasium are implementing the Antinarko program with the goal of preventing the use of drugs and alcohol, substance abuse, and smoking.
