Career Related Programme
- Age – from 16 years
- The period is 2 years.
The Professional Programme (CP) is an advanced BTEC diploma and the integration of IB values into a unique course aimed at students engaged in vocational education. World Academy – Dubai is one of only two schools in the region accredited to host all four IB programmes.
CP has been specifically designed for students who already want to develop in their future careers during their school years. Students of the program take at least two courses from the four components of the IB Diploma Program (DP).
Students must meet four basic requirements:
- Service training – development of new skills, social work and volunteering.
- Personal and Professional Skills (PPS) – development of skills in the field of employment through the implementation of a series of projects.
- Reflective project – the student's reflections on an ethical problem related to the chosen topic.
- Learning a foreign language through project work.
Final exams await students at the end of the 12th grade. Papers are evaluated by international groups of examiners, with scores ranging from 1 (lowest) to 7 (highest). Upon successful completion of the program, students receive a BTEC diploma.
