Specific details

Nuances of visa processing

For private persons, the visa center conducts the reception by appointment.

When the applicant signs up for admission to the visa center, he should indicate all those traveling abroad, including children. If the application is group, then one general entry is made and the consular fee is paid for the whole group by one receipt. If the applicant has not registered in advance, he will be rejected the reception.

If the applicant has other trips abroad before departure, it is recommended to provide hotel reservations and air tickets, since after submitting the package of documents, no additional documents will be accepted.

To change of the recording time within one day is impossible, in this case it is necessary to make a recording on the other day.

If an applicant has been issued an annual Schengen visa for the last year, he has the right to request one more visa for a year. If there are three Schengen visas for the last two years, then you can request the next visa for two years. For a business visa, you can request a period, which is indicated in the invitation.

Important! The decision on the period for which the visa will be issued (including the Italian study visa) is accepted by the consulate employees.

If a single entry visa is issued, then the applicant has the right to cross the border of the Schengen area only once, and upon exit the visa immediately ceases to operate. A double entry visa allows you to enter twice and leave the Schengen area, and a multiple entry visa allows you to cross the boundaries of the Schengen area throughout its validity.

In case that a visa (including a study visa to Italy, type D) is requested for 6 months, you can put only 90 days. If a visa (including an Italian study visa) is needed for a year, then 180 days of stay in the country are indicated. Transit visa is given for no more than 5 days in one half year.

After the submission of all documents, the package can no longer be supplemented, so it is strongly recommended to have original documents and all notarized copies before submission.

If the applicant still has a Schengen visa, the next one can be opened immediately after the end of the valid one the next day.

Important! In order to receive a response for the application as quickly as possible, it is necessary: to use only the standard forms, which are filled in completely and signed. If the trip should be urgent, it is recommended to attach to the main package documents confirmation of urgency, for example hotel reservation, a copy of the air ticket and so on.

Schengen visa is issued, as well as a study visa for Italy type D, by the consulate of that country in where the main pastime is planned. If the applicant visits several countries of the Schengen zone, he or she should apply to the consulate of the country in which he will spend the most time.

If the number of days is equal, then you need to apply to the consulate of the country, which will be the first. It is necessary to have along all the canceled passports (original + copies), where visas are fixed for the last two years. The Consulate of the Republic of Italy has the right to request additional documents at any time.
