Description
To receive IB Diploma, you need to pass a studying program on three levels of complexity, 3 courses of theory of knowledge of standard complexity, be able to write an extended essay, to participate in socially useful, creative or sports activities of the college. The essay here refers to a personal study report, the subject of which is consistent with the course instructor. The theory of knowledge includes the studying of methods of cognition, the development of skills of critical and analytical thinking, the ability to ask the right question, to argue their position and defend their point of view. Students are provided with 6 subject groups, and from each they must choose one course at their own discretion:
- Art;
- Foreign language;
- Mathematics;
- Language and literature;
- Social sciences;
- Natural sciences.
Obtaining a diploma is possible for students who have scored at least 24 points out of 45 possible points. Also the results of the course IB are counted in the issuance of the classical certificate of secondary education.
For foreign students, supportive English language courses are organized to help them to absorb the curriculum more fully, to adapt more quickly to the educational and cultural conditions of Canada.
