In the 10th grade pupils choose electives for themselves, they must attend physical education classes and lessons of preliminary courses for IB Diploma. During the period from the 8th to the 12th grade each student must earn 18 mandatory credits in general subjects and 12 credits for selected electives. Also, to successfully complete the course of study and receive the Ontario Secondary School Diploma, you must perform at least 40 hours of community service (11-12 grades).
To receive IB Diploma, you need to pass a studying program on three levels of complexity, 3 courses of theory of knowledge of standard complexity, be able to write an extended essay, to participate in socially useful, creative or sports activities of the college. The essay here refers to a personal studying report, the subject of which is consistent with the course instructor. The theory of knowledge includes the study of methods of cognition, the development of skills of critical and analytical thinking, the ability to ask the right question, to argue their position and defend their point of view.
In order to enter the school, you will need to:
- Prepare the necessary documents (online application, copy of passport or birth certificate, extract with marks for the last 2 years + current year, SSAT test results);
- Pay mandatory registration fee;
- Interview by Skype.
