International foundation in University of Vermont Foundation Program

Description
The program is designed for quality, effective preparation of foreign students for studying in American and world universities: the emphasis is on preparing for studying at the University of Vermont, but students can choose their own educational institution.
In each version, which is represented in the university, there are three educational blocks:
- Academic English (it helps foreign students to achieve the language level required for studying at a foreign university)
- In-depth study of core subjects
- Special integration courses aimed at adapting students to the new environment.
In the process of studying, each student prepares courses for educational credits, and with due diligence after the completion of the program, he can apply immediately for 2 courses. If the student has obtained the average number of credits, but successfully passed the IELTS language test (from 6.5 points) or his alternative, the enrollment for 1 course of the university will also happen almost automatically.
Foundation directions:
- Agriculture;
- Art and technology;
- Business management;
- Pedagogy and the humanities;
- Engineering and mathematics;
- Environment and natural resources;
- Health care.
In the preparatory center there are the following options:
- Foundation 2 periods (8 months)
For admission, you need to know English no lower than 6.0 points on the IELTS scale or equivalent. The classes start in May, August and January.
- Foundation 3 periods (9 months)
Students with an English language level of 5.5 on the IELTS scale (or with the equivalent exam results) are accepted. Beginning of classes takes place in August. During the first period, students focus on active and super-intensive learning of the English language, the remaining two stages repeat the standard, classic version of the Foundation.
