Apprenticeships: Higher and Degree Apprenticeships at the University of Suffolk includes apprenticeships at levels 4-7; the university works with a number of employers in the development and provision of apprenticeship programs. The internship gives students the opportunity to combine work and study, applying academic knowledge in practice. Interns spend at least 20% of their contract time on in-service training, which can be a combination of university studies and training offered by an employer. The university and employer agree on the methods - usually either full-time or block-based training (for example, one full week of university study followed by four weeks of full time), online training, or project work.
