International Foundation Year

• Age of participants: 17 years
• Duration of the program: 3 semesters
• Beginning of classes: January, September

• Language of instruction: English
• Participants: foreign students (not citizens of the European Union and Britain).

The International Foundation Year is designed for foreign participants who need to bring the level of knowledge and English language in line with the requirements of the university, and also to undergo an adaptation process. The course lasts 3 semesters and has two start dates - in January or September. To participate in the program you need to have a certain level of language and education (if necessary, you can take special English courses).

Studying is conducted in 4 directions:

• Society and Culture.

Each direction includes several carefully selected and developed modules, through which all the questions and topics needed for the chosen direction are revealed. Modules include:

• English academic language. Students actively work on improving their language, develop the ability to express their ideas clearly, get used to using the language in everyday life and the learning process.
• Basic discipline. The basic subject for the chosen direction is studied.
• Research project. During his studies each student conducts his own research - so he gets an understanding of what includes studying at the university and what standards / rules must be observed in order to become a successful student.
• Subject disciplines. This includes subjects, work on which gives students a complete picture of the topics in the chosen direction and reveals interesting details.

• Economy (part 2). Topics: aggregate demand, economic policy, inflation, unemployment, international trade and development economics.
• Globalization and global problems. The module is devoted to the study and analysis of problems and dynamics that led to the formation of modern political life and society at the international, transnational and global levels. The themes of the module disclose the causes and consequences of globalization.
• Introduction to financial accounting. Topics: preparation of trial balances, profit and loss statements, depreciation, limited liability companies, production accounts and interpretation of accounts.
