English language program in University Canada West

If your level of English is not high enough for effective teaching, the university offers specialized preparatory courses. As part of the studying, students will not only improve their language skills, but also learn to write essays (consider different genres), to work with scientific and specialized literature, to prepare and demonstrate presentations and personal projects, and to master the scientific style of writing.  The skill of critical and analytical thinking intensively develops, students learn effective independent and group work, master the rules of work at seminars. There are 15 language lessons per week (academic English) and 5 sessions aimed at developing thinking. Students are provided with special educational materials, books and manuals, they can use all available educational infrastructure of the university.

The duration of the studying depends on the initial level of your language knowledge: for students with IELTS 5.0, the time for courses will be 9 months, for students with IELTS 5.5 - 6 months, and for IELTS 6.0 owners - only 3 months.
