Within the summer camp, linguistic programs for studying English and Italian are offered with an average degree of intensity (20 academic hours per week). The length of stay in the language camp varies from two weeks to a month. The age of students is from 15 to 17 years. Italy and design are connected by an inseparable chain. For more than fifty years, Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) has been working in the field of education and research in the fields of design, fashion, visual communication and management. Today, the IED is an ever-expanding international network that issues academic first-level diplomas and organizes three-year courses, master's courses, continuing vocational education and continuing education programs.
The teaching staff includes specialists and experts who can teach applied skills and the ability to navigate in a constant flow of innovation. Each academic course is carried out in direct contact with companies operating in the relevant fields. Being a prestigious school of world-class design, IED welcomes students of different nationalities and cultures in all its branches. About 2000 foreign students - mainly from the Far East, Central and South America, Europe - attend academic courses every year. To date, the IED trains students from about 100 different countries.
The summer academic design program is designed for foreign students over 18 years of age and is conducted in English, which need to be mastered at an advanced level. The cost of the summer program ranges from 1500 euros for two weeks of training. Design courses are usually divided into two thematic blocks. In the first week, lectures and seminars focus on the topic of contemporary art. Students have the opportunity to meet with famous artists and visit their workshops, exhibitions and other prestigious facilities. The second week is devoted to modern architecture - visits to art objects are conducted and the evolution of the relationship between architecture, art and space as such is discussed. At the end of the second week, the final master class is held, which analyzes the entire course. The main objective of this academic course is to hold foreign students through a living experience of contact with art and give them useful "keys to reading."
