- Duration of studying: 2 years.
The Business and Technology Education Council educational program is an in-depth study of a selected subject from the field of applied sciences. Available for study on two levels:
- Extended Certificate (BTEC Extended Certificate).
- Diploma (Edexcel BTEC Diploma).
Obtaining a certificate in the field of applied sciences includes the study of 4 scientific blocks in 2 years:
- Principles of science;
- Scientific procedures and methods;
- Research Skills;
- Physiology of human body systems.
The program includes a combined study of the basic natural sciences - chemistry, physics, biology. The final grade is based on the grades obtained for each block under study (Pass, Merit or Distinction).
The BTEC diploma in applied sciences includes the study of 8 subject blocks for 2 years. Students also write their own research paper, which is evaluated separately. Study blocks for graduation are the following:
- Principles and application of science I and II;
- Physiology of human body systems;
- Research Skills;
- Scientific procedures and methods;
- Laboratory methods;
- Forensics.
