In high school students study a wide range of subjects. The general curriculum includes mathematics, history, art, physics, biology, chemistry. It also provides for the study of foreign languages. English is available from the 5th grade, Latin and French from the 6th. In the 9th-10th form students can additionally study Greek.

School Schule Birklehof is one of the most prestigious schools in the region of the three boundaries of the Black Forest. The educational institution is not far from Freiburg. The private school of Birkloff was founded in the 20th century by Kurt Khan. Today, it is actively developing.

The school mainly learns Germans. Only 10% of the seats are foreign students. Teaching is conducted in German. In a private gymnasium a great atmosphere was created for the success of schoolchildren. Living and learning international students are offered in a comfortable environment.

The school honors the tradition of progressive educational reforms, conducted almost a hundred years ago. The concept was tested by practice and time. The principle of this concept is delegating a part of the managerial authority to the student school council.
