School description

Clifton College is located in an hour and a half from London, in the bustling and developed city of Bristol. It was founded as a male boarding house in 1862, coeducation was taken in 1987. The school is constantly being modernized, updated to provide students with all opportunities for comfortable and effective studying, living, active recreation and sports. The buildings of the campus are made in neo-gothic and neo-Gudor style, which are located among the picturesque nature, in a quiet and well-groomed area.

Since 2005, Mark Moore has been director since 2005: he was educated at Cambridge and Wolverhampton Grammar School, formerly Head of the English Language Department, as well as Head of the Department of Pre-University Studies at the prestigious Radley School. Clifton College is an active member of the educational organization HMC (Conference of School Directors). Director personally by a thorough interview appoints prefects and elders who actively participate in student self-management, help to occupy students, organize the educational process and leisure.

About 30% of parents live relatively close, within 30 miles of the campus, and 15% of parents are foreigners and live abroad. The school accepts students of any religion: there is a Jewish community with its own synagogue, and Christians must attend church services. Children of other religions can freely conduct their traditional rituals, observe a diet.
