University Pathways Graduate Preparation Program

This course is intended for foreign students who want to get a bachelor's degree in one of the American or English universities, but they do not have a high level of English. Experienced teachers work with the students, who will be able to prepare them for university intensive studies, to improve language and academic skills, to prepare for the TOEFL exam.

  • The beginning of the program: January 3, March 27, June 19, September 11
  • Duration of studying: 1-6 semesters (usually 2 semesters and summer session)
  • Class size: up to 15 people
  • Intensity of studying: 25 hours of classes and 15 hours of independent work every week
  • Minimum requirements for admission: any level of English, age from 21 years.

In the learning process all basic language skills are improved: reading, listening, writing and speaking, vocabulary is expanding, phonetics and vocabulary are being studied. Students begin to really think in English, to communicate freely in any situation, to quickly adapt to the new cultural environment and the academic system of the United States.

For an additional fee, the curriculum may include academic sessions for the passing of GMAT or GRE tests.

  • Minimum requirements for admission: the level of English - TOEFL iBT from 69 or IELTS from 6.0 (not less than 5.5 in each block)

The entrant must complete the basic course of secondary school (senior classes, ideally the High School program) with a minimum GPA score of 2.5 (not lower).

This program is the fastest and easiest, most effective and reliable way to American universities, especially for international students. After completing a two-year course at Marymount, you will be able (if successful) to enroll in 3-4 bachelor's programs at the selected university: thus obtaining a degree in the US will take no more time than the "classical" entry. The program allows students from anywhere in the world (age 16 years old) to pass the high school program and start their way to a degree in the American university. A special program is designed for effective preparation for undergraduate students at US universities. This course develops intellectual and linguistic abilities and skills, provides an opportunity to obtain valuable academic skills necessary for American universities. The minimum duration of studying is 1 semester, the full duration of the program depends on the initial level of student preparation, its academic needs and requests.
