Description

Brief information: The secondary school curriculum for pupils of 11-16 years fully corresponds to high and strict national standards. However, students at the Lucton School are even slightly ahead of this course: their curriculum includes more subjects, and the choice of disciplines is broader and more diverse.

The key difference between the primary and secondary schools is that each subject begins to be studied as an independent direction: thus, instead of the general course of natural science, students attend lessons in:

  • Chemistry;
  • Biology;
  • Physics.

Each subject is taught by a separate qualified teacher.

School description

As early as 1708, the famous London wine merchant John Piermont founded the Lucton School in order to instill in children key Christian values, moral norms. Today, the school learns about 315 boys and girls, and the school is very loyal to international students - they make up about 12% of the total number of children, but there is a quota for the number of students from one country, one nationality. This allows you to respect cultural diversity, and preserve the traditional "old" English school with this spirit.

The intensity of education is usually 25 lessons per week. For international students, a special integration program is developed and taught, allowing foreign children to quickly adapt to the new cultural, national and language environment, quickly find friends among the British, get used to living on the classic English campus. There are also additional lessons of English as a foreign language (minimum 2 per week), for a fee, the number of classes can be increased if necessary.

The boarding students live in two spacious, modern residences that adjoin the main educational buildings - the road to classes does not take more than a couple of minutes.

Quick overview: Graduation classes are designed for international students aged 17-18. Here the program is aimed at maximally qualitatively preparing high school students to enter the chosen university in order:

  • To hone their knowledge in priority disciplines;
  • To show the highest result in the final exams.

All disciplines for a personal curriculum are chosen by the student independently from a fairly extensive list. Teachers and consultants, tutors are always ready to help students determine their priorities: such academic concentration helps to maximally deepen knowledge primarily in the disciplines that the student plans to study at the university in the chosen specialty.
