English courses are offered to those students who apply for undergraduate or graduate programs and must bring their language level in line with the requirements of the chosen course. Programs are divided into 2 large groups:

  • Pre-Bachelor's Courses (for programs: International Foundation Year, Extended International Foundation Year, International Year One, Extended International Year One)
  • Pre-master courses (for the Pre-Masters program).

An obligatory condition for participation in the courses is the intention of the student to enter the programs of preparation and approval of admission by the university. The student passes the English language course, passes the corresponding examinations, and, if the level of the language is raised to the required level, begins the education on the educational programs. The course lasts 6, 12 or 20 weeks. Training programs include not only English classes, but also the simultaneous development of the student's learning and adaptation skills to the system of education at the university. The body of questions and disciplines considered in the learning process:

  • Grammar, vocabulary and the development of active vocabulary
  • Methods of teaching and assessment of the level of knowledge used at the university
  • Development of literate written language
  • Listening and developing an effective ability to understand and reproduce information
  • Methods for presenting presentations and skills for effective participation in seminars
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Assessment skills.

The effectiveness of the learning process is determined through constant assessments and a feedback system. Students perform screening work on every aspect and subject of the program, including written and oral exams, exam reading and listening, demonstration of presentations and work on development of teaching skills.
