The school in the learning process distributes the hours for social development and the assimilation of new knowledge. Students are engaged in individual programs. At this stage, teachers work on developing the skills of analysis. At the Lake Mary Preparatory school, the certification subjects (Honorus level) and the disciplines required for Advanced Placement (Pre-AP) are proportionally combined with the creative courses.

The motivation for success and the communicative abilities of students increases the program of cooperation with other schools of the Meritas group. Children from different educational institutions exchange experience and learn cooperation in the course of joint work on projects. As projects, meetings in a discussion group, experiments, and scientific projects are used. So, for example, in the 6th form, peers from different schools prepared a project on global education, and eighth-grade students learned from the scientific point of view the harm from narcotic substances.

High school education combines Advanced Placement (AR), electives and Honours courses (courses with attestation). The main goal of the programs is to prepare for writing a qualification work, a person-oriented education and a detailed study of subjects for admission to college.

Obtaining 26 credits (one for each annual certification in one subject) corresponds to the academic minimum. The greatest number of attestations is provided for medical education (5 credits). Within 4 years, social and natural sciences, special courses, mathematics and English are being studied. On them teenagers receive 4 credits. Latin, Spanish or Chinese provide for three credits, and the art is given for children at two annual certifications (2 credits). The course of physical education will require 1 credit.

To simplify the educational process and accelerate the adaptation to the American system, the school developed language courses. You can start from the basic level of the language, but the studying in academic subjects should be at a high level. The Lake Mary Preparatory School conducts joint lessons for foreign students and American students, organizes cultural events. In a year, two excursions to Europe or trips to the USA are envisaged. With a proper level of English, foreign students can engage with high school students, passing science in-depth.
