10-12 grades (Senior School)
The high school curriculum is designed for preparing students qualitatively for successful admission to the chosen university. Also, a separate mention is made of comprehensive career guidance: it helps students to identify their abilities and talents, strengths and inclinations, with the choice of future profession - accordingly, the student already more thoughtfully chooses the university and the educational program, can more fully determine the disciplines that he needs to study for admission and successful learning. The career counseling center helps and formalizes the necessary package of documents for admission - this assistance is especially useful for foreign students who may not know enough about the peculiarities of the university system.
In the 10th grade, everyone chooses a subject for themselves, which will be studied in-depth and on which they plan to take the final exam. We remind you that the exams are also surrendered for the Diploma of the International Baccalaureate.
At the 12th year of schooling, students study the following disciplines:
- English
- Mathematics
- Geography (can be replaced by the course of world history)
- Art
- One of the items in the public sector
- One of the subjects of the natural-science direction to choose from (this could be biology, chemistry or physics).
To obtain an official diploma of secondary education - Nova Scotia Secondary School Diploma - you need to get for 10-12 class not less than 18 mandatory loans in general subjects:
