In Kansas State Polytechnic special biennial programs are available that lead to the degree of the Associate of Science, which entitles them to work or continue their studies in bachelor's specialties. During two courses students receive exhaustive knowledge of the chosen specialty, many are engaged in practice and research. In general, associate programs are the first two undergraduate courses: they are often chosen by students who have clearly defined their profession and preferred occupation. During the education, lectures and seminars, laboratory and research work, individual and group projects are held. Much attention is paid to the development of practical skills and abilities: students not only gain knowledge, but also are able to apply them in professional activities.
