The International Year One Program

- Duration of the programs: 1, 2 or 3 semesters
- Beginning of classes: January, August
- Level of education: Diploma of secondary school
- Knowledge of English: for 3-semester programs - TOEFL iBT 50 / IELTS 5.0 / PTEA 41+; for 2-semester programs - TOEFL iBT 60 / IELTS 5.5 / PTEA 44; for semester programs - TOEFL iBT 79 / IELTS 6.5 / PTEA 53
- Language of instruction: English
- Participants: foreign citizens.
International Year One is a special program at INTO Washington State University, which allows foreign students to adapt and enroll in undergraduate programs without losing time. To participate, you must have a diploma of high school and a certain level of English (if necessary, you can take special English courses). Courses last from 1 to 3 semesters, the choice of the required duration is determined by the level of English. At the moment, there are 10 different directions, after each of which you can go to certain specialties of the bachelor's degree:

Students enrolled in the International Year One receive ample opportunities to develop their knowledge and skills. Participants in the 2 and 3-semester courses spend a lot of time in English, they work with professional teachers and significantly improve their level in a short time. Each direction includes a whole complex of academic disciplines and subjects, moreover, all students receive effective support for quick and painless adaptation and transition to a new learning system for themselves.
All students who successfully mastered the program are guaranteed to pass to the chosen bachelor's degree in the next semester in order and continue their education already as ordinary bachelor students.

for 2-semester programs: TOEFL iBT 60 / IELTS 5.5 / PTEA 44 / Academic English Level 4 / Password overall level 6 / Completion of Academic English Level 4 (with 80% average in all classes)
3. Level of Education: Diploma of High School Graduation
