About the educational course:
International Year One is a special program through which foreign students can enter the undergraduate degree without additional training and time loss. Training lasts 1, 2 or 3 semesters, the choice of duration depends on the level of English (the higher the level, the shorter the program). All participants must have completed school education and good academic performance. Applicants from any country of the world can apply for the International Year One. Training is conducted in different directions, after each of which specific bachelor's programs are available, there are in total 7 directions available:
Course characteristics of the International Year One:
Teachers and staff of the University provide students with support on all academic and life issues, helping them to adapt to the educational system at the American University and the way of life in the state and country
A student enrolled at the university through the International Year One ends his studies at the same time as ordinary students (without losing time)
Small educational groups allow teachers a lot of time to devote to each student and find an individual approach.
Students 2 and 3-semester courses actively learn English, with them are highly qualified teachers-native speakers, who face the task in a short time and as much as possible qualitatively "pull up" the level of English in their wards. All participants study a complex of academic disciplines and subjects, as well as learning and research skills. Much attention is paid to career development, which subsequently greatly helps students to orientate themselves on the US labor market and correctly approach job search questions.
During the educational process, students acquire a rich baggage of knowledge, skills and abilities, and quite successfully continue their studies, moving to the basic bachelor's programs for the next semester in order (for example, after the semester program go to the second semester, etc.) and continuing education as ordinary students.
