INTO George Mason University provides students from around the world with a large number of quality bachelor's programs from a wide range of fields of knowledge. For admission, you must have completed school education and a certain, sufficiently high level of language. Especially for international students, the International Year One program is implemented, which includes academic disciplines, English classes and a whole range of activities aimed at adapting and involving participants in the learning system and lifestyles in the US (there is no time lost, and immediately completion of the course participants go to the basic bachelor's programs for the next semester).

Students choose for themselves the main and additional areas of interest - specialization - Major and Minor. A distinctive feature of the university is a wide variety of not only basic, but also additional specializations - there are more than 120 Minor directions available here. The additional direction can be connected with the main and / or complement it, and maybe entirely from another sphere of knowledge (all at the discretion of the student). Such a system is very convenient, allowing you to be diversified. Each program is assessed as credit units (credits). Classes are conducted by highly qualified specialists, teachers and scientists with a worldwide reputation and are divided into different types:

  • Lectures, interactive lectures
  • Working with sources and literature
  • Lecture and seminar sessions with experts and specialists
  • Seminars, extended seminars
  • Independent work and work in groups
  • Laboratory experiments and research.

All students receive a large amount of knowledge, and learn to apply this knowledge in practice, passing internships and practices in companies and organizations of local and international scale. Foreign students also receive assistance in career development and study the rules and norms adopted in the labour market in the United States.

The University has special accelerated programs according to the curriculum of which, students quickly pass from bachelor's to master's degrees and receive two degrees - bachelor's and master's degrees in a shorter time than usual. It is possible to obtain a dual specialization (Dual Degree), which significantly increases the level of competencies and expands opportunities for employment and professional activity. It is also possible to receive certificates in various fields of science and knowledge (Undergraduate Certificate).

After successful completion of the studying, the student is awarded a bachelor's degree in a certain field of science (with accelerated programs - first a bachelor's degree, then a master's degree), which makes it possible to either start working or continue studying on the master's program.
