Bachelor's degree is represented by more than 30 specialties, each of which has a carefully designed structure, and meets the most stringent modern requirements. During the studying students receive a maximum of knowledge and practical skills and become competent specialists in their field. Standard bachelor's programs last 4 years. In addition to the main specialty, students choose additional (so-called Minors), which greatly expands the horizon and competence, and allows to develop in the desired direction. Each program is evaluated in a certain number of credits, credits are summed up during semesters and courses.

In addition to the bachelor programs themselves, there are also combined degree programs, which include several directions and are conducted in cooperation with other universities and schools:

  • Engineering (with Columbia University)
  • Management in the field of the environment (together with Duke University)
  • Forestry (together with Duke University)
  • Right (with New York Law School / Seton Hall University).

The combined programs are aimed at obtaining both bachelor's and master's degrees - after completion of the bachelor's degree the student automatically passes to the corresponding magistracy, which is done to save time and allows you to not be distracted from studying. Both bachelor's and master's degrees in this case are not "truncated" - students study all the required amount of disciplines, after completing their studies they receive bachelor's and master's degrees in the relevant field.

Also, the university conducts studying on pre-professional programs - in themselves the courses are not separate, and should be tied to some direction from the list of Majors. It provides an outstanding humanitarian education and individual counseling to prepare students for professional activities in such areas as law, medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, optometry and many others. Students receive fundamental knowledge and support in the process of studying and further professional growth.

Teachers and staff of the University provide all-round assistance to students, seek to find an individual approach to each student, develop in them the spirit of the researcher and the discoverer. Many graduates achieve impressive successes in professional work and scientific research due to the basis laid in them. During the studying different types of classes are used:

  • Lectures
  • Field studies
  • Interactive lectures
  • Seminars and extended seminars
  • Laboratory work
  • Scientific and research experiments
  • Independent work, work in groups and mini-groups.

To control the progress and timely assessment of the abilities of students, various verification works are used, such as:

  • Examinations, invisible exams
  • Term papers
  • Writing essays and extended essays
  • Laboratory work with reports
  • Research papers with reports
  • Tests.

Much attention is paid to developing students' career skills and employment skills, which is especially important for foreign participants who have quite certain and understandable difficulties in understanding the US labour standards and rules. Students receive effective counseling and support, learn to look for work and pass an interview, take their first steps in a career and develop professionally. Also, during the studying all students have internships in profile companies, institutions and authorities.
