Description

English + Culture

Every week 10 English lessons are offered for you (a tete-a-tete with a teacher), as well as a large number of leisure and cultural events. The list depends on the chosen city of residence and studying: by choosing this course, you can better get acquainted with the history and culture of the US and individual cities, immerse yourself in the language environment, learn the traditions of different regions. It remains to choose a city!

  • Chicago

The first option for living and studying in Chicago includes a visit to the Shedd Aquarium, the Museum of Science and Industry, a visit to the Institute of Arts and the Field Museum, climbing the Willis Tower and visiting the observation deck in your free time. The second option is an interesting excursion (architectural and culturological orientation) on the Lake Michigan, the Chicago River. Additionally, you can choose to visit the Field or Chicago Historical Museum, visit the Willis Tower skyscraper or the Museum of Science and Industry.

  • Denver

In Denver, you can choose 3 events to your liking: visit the Art Museum or the Buffalo Bill Museum, which features the best exhibits and samples from the history of the American West; or choose a walk through the Botanical Gardens, the Butterfly Pavilion and a visit to the city aquarium.

  • Hawaii

Sunny Hawaii will offer you a stroll through Chinatown and dine at the Governor's mansion, visit the beautiful Iolani Palace, the museum and the homes of the first missionaries, look at the statue of King Kamameham, the church of Kawaihao and the surrounding land.

  • Las Vegas

An excursion to one of the world's entertainment capitals can not do without a long walk on the Las Vegas Strip! In addition, you can explore the Red Rock canyon, the Hoover Dam and Mount Charleston.

  • Los Angeles

You can choose three events to your liking - in Los Angeles, everyone will find something to their liking! You can go to the Maritime Museum (Newport Harbor), the Surf Museum or the Art Museum, visit the major science center and the city library, the birthplace of the legendary Richard Nixon. In addition, trips are offered to the Aviation Museum, to the City Botanical Garden and Arboretum.

  • Miami

In Miami, you can go for a day to the famous Everglades reserve: take a walk along its paths and groves in the wild, ride a boat along canals.

  • New England (Boston)

In Boston, students are also offered 3 activities to choose from: the Museum of Science or the Fine Arts, the Harvard Museum and a visit to the university campus, the MIT Museum and Boston Tea Party, many other local museums, the city's Aquarium.

  • New Orleans

You can go with a jazz ensemble on the Mississippi River by boat - it's not for nothing that New Orleans is considered to be the American and world capital of jazz! Also you can see the exhibits of the Jazz Museum and the Mardi Gras Museum, go to the Museum of World War II and visit the large Odubon Zoo.

  • New York

In this city, the students are given two programs of recreation and entertainment. The first is devoted to Lower Manhattan: the students go to Staten Island, where the legendary Statue of Liberty is located - on the way by ferry you can choose the most suitable angle for the photo. Also, sightseeing groups go to the Wall Street exchanges, visit the Museum of American Indians and Better Park, the World Trade Center memorial.

The second program is aimed at getting to know Middle Manhattan. Start better with a walking tour that takes you from the Penn Station to Times Square and Broadway, the theater district, to the observation deck and Rockefeller Plaza. There are also walks to the Metropolitan Museum and Natural History Museum, Central Park and St Patrick's Cathedral, to Columbus Circle Square and to Fifth Avenue.

  • San Diego

The most interesting places to visit, which should not miss - it's the zoo and a major attraction, "Sea World of San Diego."

  • San Francisco

There are 3 excursion and entertainment routes, from which you can choose 2 according to your wish. The first is a cruise to the island of Alcatraz, where one of the world's most impregnable prisons operated or is still cruising along the bay next to the beautiful Golden Gate Bridge. The second is a visit to the Legion of Honour and the Museum de Young (they are always visited together on the same day), or a visit to the Museum of Science, Art and Human Perception "Exploratorium". The third is a visit to the California Academy of Science and the Aquarium Steinhart.
