Worthy salary right after graduation: myth or reality?

Worthy salary right after graduation: myth or reality?

Some are still convinced that a young graduate (or university ) who has just graduated from a profession is doomed to a very low salary. Much to my regret, there is a fair amount of truth in this statement.

That is why many talented children avoid admission to higher educational institutions, preferring a crane in the sky to a crane in their hands, which they later regret very much. Others believe that getting higher education abroad is for them a pass to a better life, but at the same time they hardly realize the cost of such an event.

However, almost everyone believes that the level of income abroad is much higher than in the home country, therefore, cases where the search for a better share are preferred to be "over the hill" have recently become quite common.

In order to understand the issue, we analyzed the level of incomes of the beginning specialists of Russia andGreat Britain . However, you should understand that statistics - science is not very accurate, therefore it is necessary to treat this information with some caution.

1. Civil Engineer

A graduate of the corresponding British university or college may well expect a monthly income of about 1800 pounds (about 110,000 rubles). In large Russian cities (Moscow, St. Petersburg) this figure is only 20,000 rubles (with an average salary of about 50,000), and in the "provinces" the figures will be expected to be lower (10,000 and 30,000 rubles, respectively).

2. "The geek"

Indicators of beginning "computer geniuses" in the UK correspond to those for representatives of "building" specialties (about 1800 pounds). In Russia, the figures are quite different depending on the region, but the averages can be considered similar (from 10,000 to 35,000 rubles).

3. Employee of the social sphere

If the British initial monthly earnings in this industry is quite good (about 1,900 pounds), then the situation in Russia can be properly called a deplorable: more than 9,000 rubles (for Moscow - 15,000), you should not count, and career prospects are pretty Misty.

4. Financier

Beginning workers of analytical departments of large British companies can well expect the same 1800 pounds (albeit with very tempting growth prospects). The Russian financier will receive no less than 20,000 rubles (with the expected growth to 100,000 in the very near future). However, some features of our mentality give us good reasons to assume that real numbers are likely to be significantly higher.

5. The mathematician

The situation in Foggy Albion is expected: starting income in this sphere is about 1,900 pounds. Our "Lobachevsky and Eulerians" can count (and they are able to do this - the position obliges) at the beginning of their career at 20,000 rubles (which in many years can "grow stout" to 80,000, and if they are lucky, they will receive a bonus in the form of a "scientific" pension ).

6. Physicist

In our conditional rating nothing changes. Standard 2000 pounds for the UK and 20 to 50 thousand - in Russia (with almost no prospects for those who sow reasonable, good and eternal in Russian).

7. A teacher at the school

In England, the income of a teacher is about 2000 pounds, and this profession is highly respected. Domestic realities are much more sad: young "teachers" can only "count" for 26,000 rubles, and teachers with titles, categories and regalia above 70,000 rubles "will not jump" (in Moscow, for example, the average salary is about 42,000 rubles).

8. Specialist in the field of information technology

Young English "IT people" monthly have already the usual "about two thousand" (to be precise - 1950 pounds). In Russia (which is only part of the "digital era"), a beginner Bill Gates can receive both 20 and 200 thousand (depends on the specialization, the region and the company). However, the upper limit in this area is rather conditional, and cases where young startups have found multimillion-dollar financing are quite common.

9. Nurse

If you professionally care for the sick (and do not work as a volunteer at the behest of the heart), then you can expect to have 2,100 pounds (in England) and 10-15 thousand (in Russia). In private domestic clinics salaries (as well as working conditions) are much higher - about 40 thousand rubles.

10. The Economist

The work of young English followers of Adam Smith and David Ricardo is estimated by the society at almost 2,200 pounds (and the prospects are almost unlimited). Russian specialists are much "poorer" and can expect about 15 - 25 thousand rubles. True, this is one of the few spheres in which there is a real prospect for career growth.

11. The dentist

The beginning doctor, who in London will put you a seal, gets 2,700 pounds a month, and his Moscow colleague-15,000 rubles. But the salary of an experienced dentist who has his own practice, may well exceed 200,000 rubles.
