Middle Classes

In the middle classes, students master a wide, diverse range of disciplines and subjects, and in the 9th grade they are already beginning to prepare for intensive studies at the GCSE course, for the subsequent passing of exams.

Since the beginning of studies in middle classes, most of the subjects are taught by the same teacher-class teacher: this lasts for the first 2 years, after which the subjects are more specifically divided into different teachers. From the 4th grade, education is introduced on Saturdays, and a large-scale, intensive study of foreign languages (French, Spanish, classical Latin) begins as early as the 6th grade. Also, from the 6th year of study, mandatory hours are introduced for the preparation of home classes (4 times a week).

Each class is allocated a collective mentor: he meets students at least 3 times a week, controls academic progress and academic achievement, helps with the performance of homework.

  • Latin / ancient civilization
  • English
  • Religious Studies (Theology)

GCSE

During the two-year GCSE course, children complete a part-time secondary education program according to British national standards (14-16 years). In total, 8-12 disciplines are surrendered at the final exams in grade 11 - both mandatory and optional, which students can choose at their own discretion.

Compulsory subjects:

  • Religious Studies (Theology)
  • English
  • physical culture and sports
  • mathematics.

In order to move from grade 10 to 11, the student must pass a minimum of 4 subjects per point B and 2 subjects per point C and higher. Particular attention should be paid to those areas that you plan to study on the A-level program in grades 12-13: the final GCSE certificate (exams are surrendered in grade 11) in these subjects should indicate grades no lower than B.
