English+summer vacation in Columbia International School Japan Private School
Participation in the summer school (summer camp) is a great opportunity for children to have fun and usefully with the company of peers from around the world. The school is held in July-early August, and can last from 1 to 5 weeks (to choose from). The school has a division into 5 age groups:
- Preschoolers: age from 3 to 6 years
- Junior students: 1st and 2nd grade
- Middle primary education group: 3rd and 4th year of study
- Senior elementary education group: 5 and 6 year of study
- Juniors: 7th, 8th and 9th grade.
The educational program includes classes in English and Japanese, general education subjects (mathematics, science, sociology, international studies, art), creative and entertainment activities. Participants of the summer school get maximum useful knowledge and actively rest, get acquainted with the culture of the country and make new friends. Participation in the summer program is also recommended for those children who start schooling, as it gives an opportunity to get acquainted with the teachers, the school and its educational system.
Saturday school (day off school) is designed for children from the age of 3 years and up to 6 grade. Classes are held every Saturday from 9:00 to 13:00 and include language lessons, classes in general disciplines, various recreational activities. Children are engaged in small groups of 10-15 people, which are formed by age. In the Saturday school, both school pupils and other children can take part. The Saturday school is a great opportunity to spend time with pleasure and use, to improve the level of the language and make new friends.
