Liverpool John Moores University (John Moores University of Liverpool) is a public research university located in Liverpool (England, Britain). It dates back to 1823, from the founding of the Liverpool School of Mechanics. He was awarded the title of Liverpool John Moors University in 1992 by a special act of parliament. About 22,000 students study at the bachelor, master and doctorate departments. The educational institution is a member of the mission group of British universities and the European Association of Universities. The University regularly ranks high in the European and world rankings for the most varied indicators.
