The Executive Bachelor of Business Administration (EBBA) is a one-year, two-semester intensive program. This program is designed for working professionals in middle or senior management positions with at least five years of work experience. It equips professionals with the theory and concepts to strengthen their extensive work experience and prepare them for graduate studies.
Humber’s Business Administration advanced diploma program allows you to develop extensive knowledge on how businesses work and teaches you to become competent in the full range of skills needed to facilitate business operations. Courses in operations management, accounting, human resources management, marketing research and much more will give you the opportunity to cultivate key business skills such as communication, teamwork, project management and strategic business analysis. This program is built on a common platform of a solid business education – principles of management, marketing, business law, finance mathematics and microeconomics. This common platform is shared with other business diploma programs in year one and is expanded on in year two.
The College of Management seeks to equip students with essential management competencies coupled with an appreciation of professional accountability and social responsibility. Graduates of the College should possess the functional skills and professional capabilities to contribute in meaningful ways as part of today’s technology-based economy in public companies, private organizations and nonprofit entities. The College is distinguished by AACSB-accredited bachelor’s degrees in accountancy and business administration (with concentrations in finance, international business, management and marketing). AASCB-accredited accelerated (dual-degree) programs with master’s degrees in accountancy, business administration (MBA) and taxation are also available. At the undergraduate level, the College offers bachelor of science degrees in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Management & Technology along with accelerated (dual-degree) master of science programs in Information Technology Education and Information Systems.

The doctoral program is designed to produce scholars and practitioners who are well qualified to conduct creative and significant research in business disciplines. Currently four areas of inquiry are available: Accounting, Human Resource Management, Information and Decision Sciences (IDS), and Marketing. Students will either select one of these areas or pursue unique interests in a course of study that is custom designed by business school faculty.
Freshman applicants should have demonstrated above average performance in their college preparatory courses in secondary school. Scores on the SAT or ACT should indicate that the applicant has the potential for success in a rigorous university degree program. Due to the quantitative emphasis of the business administration curriculum, it is strongly recommended that applicants take the SAT II Math test for placement purposes.

The world of business is broad, dynamic and ever evolving. GW students acquire the base disciplines that give them strong business knowledge. But they are also given unusual experiential opportunities. They undertake internships at places like the World Bank and the White House, they examine case studies that look beyond the bottom line to also explore ethics, they do problem-solving for real corporations and they have contact with high-profile executives willing to talk about the challenges of their industries.
The Pamplin College of Business offers graduate level programs in Blacksburg on the main campus, at the extended campus in the National Capital Region and other locations in Virginia. The Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree program has three program formats (options): Evening (part- or full-time) based in Falls Church, Executive with classes in Arlington, and, Professional with cohorts meeting in Roanoke and Richmond. The plan of study leading to the Master of Business Administration degree is a 48-credit program requiring a bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree from an accredited college or university. Faculty teaching in the Evening MBA program are members of the following departments in Pamplin; Accounting & Information Systems, Business Information Technology, Finance, Hospitality and Tourism Management, Management; and Marketing. The MBA degree program offered by the Pamplin College of Business is fully accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International). Masters of Science in Business Administration (MSBA) with a concentration in Hospitality and Tourism Management is offered primarily at our National Capital Region Campus in Falls Church, Virginia but with availability via online capabilities on our Blacksburg campus. Masters of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Business Analytics is offered at the Blacksburg campus.
