The program of the summer camp Java Coding and Game Development is aimed at mastering the skills of creating games at the intersection of coding and visual art. Students will learn the Java language as one of the most widely used programming languages, will learn to use the processing library, add visual effects to their own games. The acquisition of serious skills in the art of creating games will allow students to create an attractive portfolio for colleges.
Students with a high level of knowledge of algebra are admitted to the course: knowledge of variables, integers, absolute values, ability to evaluate algebraic expressions using the order of operations, and the distribution property.
The course will allow students to learn:
The course on programming and game / application development allows teens to master the skills of creating original products. Students use the Oculus Go, a stand-alone virtual reality kit without wires or phones, and Unity, the standard game engine for creating a virtual reality world that can be seen and heard. Students will get a unique experience, take their projects home + Oculus Go kit to further create and improve their own developments.
On this course, students:
Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning will allow you to start working with machine learning tools using datasets, probabilities, statistics, and more. Students learn tools that help computers emulate the brain - Python, TensorFlow.
When selecting a course, preference is given to students who have completed an introduction to programming for machine learning.
Learning outcomes:
Learn the basics of Java, one of the earliest, but still relevant, programming languages in the world. Java has many uses, from game development to business applications. Regardless of where you are in the process of writing code - whether it is just mastering, preparing resumes for colleges, or preparing for the AP Computer Science exam - on the course you will be able to hone your Java skills using console applications and programming tasks.
For admission to the course, a certain level of students' knowledge of algebra is required: knowledge of variables, integers, absolute values, the ability to evaluate algebraic expressions using the order of operations and the distribution property.

The course will allow you to learn more about the professional design of video games with Autodesk Maya and the Unreal Engine 4. At the beginning of the training, students work with Maya, create original 3D resources for their own game, import models into the Unreal Engine 4. The next stage of work is the development of UE4 Blueprint Visual Scripting, systems for creating events, rules and game mechanics. Upon completion of the course, students reach a level sufficient to develop their own professional portfolio.
During the course students:
Project files remain the property of students after the end of the program.
