The acquisition of GCSE is an important stage in British education. After the end of the 9th academic year, schoolchildren direct all efforts to the subjects selected for the passing of a single national examination and the receipt of a certificate of incomplete secondary education recognized in many countries of the world. Mathematical preparation, English and foreign languages are compulsory for all academic programs in the UK. Of these, for GCSE the students choose two subjects. You can choose up to five disciplines, but not less than three specialized ones. Brighton College offers in-depth skills in accounting, business, law or economics in the field of professional knowledge. The list is expanded to 70 possible areas of knowledge.

During 1-2 years of studying, the main source of information is the teacher. Independence of the schoolboy manifests itself in the creation of creative innovative projects, preparation of domestic work and on laboratory classes. The quality of the assimilated material is estimated by the testing and vigor of the classroom work.

Brighton College students complete six compulsory subjects for the successful passing of the GCSE. The acquisition of chemical, biological, physical knowledge, the study of mathematics, English and literature complement the three special disciplines necessary for individual development and admission to the university. Talents, skills and interests of schoolchildren determine the choice of religious studies, computer technology, theater, music, foreign languages, design or historical knowledge.
