A-Level program in Box Hill Private School

Description
This "golden standard" of British education, the A-level program is designed for schoolchildren senior, graduating classes (12-13 year of studying, the so-called Sixth Form). The selected subjects on the course are studied so deeply and thoroughly that the A-level certificate with good scores is accepted by the universities as an analogue of the entrance exams and gives the opportunity to apply for a place in the university without additional tests.
The program is designed for 2 years: during the first 3-5 disciplines are studied by choice, in the second year students are usually limited to 3-4. The subjects are chosen only independently, there is no compulsory program or curriculum here: students are guided by their own interests and inclinations, as well as the requirements of the chosen university and future profession. Offered disciplines are the following:
- Economy
- English
- Mathematics
- English literature
- Biology
- Physics
- Art
- Business
- Technology and Design
- History
- Higher Mathematics
- Music
- Modern foreign languages
- Geography
- Information Technology.
