Admission to higher education in the UK is greatly simplified for graduates of the A-level program, whose quality of knowledge is recognized in colleges and universities of the world as the "gold standard". The content of the program is universal, A-level is offered by most colleges as a common pre-university course.

Before starting A-level studying, children are already identified with the higher school and choose the required list of subjects. The two-year program is designed to develop students on a small list of sciences. A thorough knowledge of several subjects is necessary for continuing study at a university and gaining a profession. The first course provides in-depth knowledge of 4 disciplines, the second examines 3 sciences. It is advisable not to choose such courses, so as not to waste time on the passage of repetitive topics.

Orientation to further study of engineering and exact sciences allows passage on the A-level of physics, mathematics (middle and upper level), biology, the fundamentals of chemistry. It is also possible to take courses in the humanities, accounting, a complex of legal sciences, economics or business. Examination of schoolchildren is held twice a year (January, May). The small number of groups allows students to achieve an excellent level of knowledge and continue their education in leading higher schools. Alumni of A-level Bellerbys College Brighton invite St. Andrew's, Imperial College, London School of Economics, Warwick, Royal Holloway, Oxford, University College London, Bristol, Aston, Cambridge, Durham, York, Bath.
