Pre-A-level (for international students)
- Age – 15+;
- Duration – 2 years;
- The language of instruction is English.
The Pre-A Level course at Bath Academy serves as a preparation tool for the A-Level, enabling students to develop mathematical and academic skills and improve in English in order to achieve success in subsequent academic careers.
According to statistics, students taking this course achieve 31% better results than those who directly apply for A-level. Higher education institutions, as a rule, track the dynamics of points throughout the course, which makes a successful start to the A-level extremely important.
The course is divided into two stages, each lasting one year.
- The first for teenagers 14-15 years old allows you to fully prepare for the study of GCSE. During the course, great attention is paid to English and mathematics, natural sciences, information technology or business.
- The second is intended for adolescents aged 15-16 years, serving as a preparatory stage for the study of the A-level program.
Students will prepare to pass 5 GCSEs: English, Business Studies, Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry/Physics. In addition, it is important to obtain a high score on the IELTS exam (6.5+).
Both courses involve a comprehensive educational program, including, along with an academic component, a significant cultural, sports and entertainment program. Weekly physical education classes are held. Students can count on personal guidance and adjustment of the curriculum depending on individual needs.
Expat students must have a level of English at least:
- Level 1 – A2+ (CEFR) Cambridge PET (45-59); KET (PASS),
- Level 2 – IELTS 5.0 (not lower than 4.5 for any section).
