Summer Architecture Courses
- Age of students: 16-18 years
- Dates: July 1-August 11.
A thematic program is designed for architecture enthusiasts and those students who plan to build a career in this field and are preparing to enter the profile universities, colleges and higher schools. The study of basic concepts and theories resonates with the role of architect, designer in the modern world, opportunities for work and self-expression - and the magnificent neighborhoods and Oxford buildings will inspire students every summer day!
The course program includes classes on all the basic necessary topics and areas:
- Design principles
- Principles of cartography, reading maps
- Spatial analysis and planning
- Basic concepts of construction and engineering
- Modern organization of space
- Spatial, analytical, critical and logical thinking
- Architectural drawing
- Building models in manual and digital format
- Teamwork and leadership skills
- Compilation, replenishment and presentation of personal creative portfolio and resume.
Classroom include up to 15 people; the intensity of the lessons starts from 20 hours weekly + thematic excursions, lectures with invited specialists and useful master classes. At the end of the course, students will also be greeted by a solemn ceremony of awarding, handing out personal certificates with personal achievements and successes, a design portfolio contest.
