The only country in Europe that issues visas for a long term (from six months to 10 years) is Great Britain. In order to simplify the process of issuing visas for a long time, the British Embassy introduced a new service: submission of documents and applications without the original and only with a copy of the passport.
Advantages of the new service
The company Teleperformance has five CCs in Russia, which are located in Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Rostov-on-Don, St. Petersburg and Novosibirsk. In order to apply for a long-term stay, the applicant must be provided with fingerprints and copies of all, even unfilled, pages of the passport. Then the visa center sends these data for decision to the border control service, which operates under the British Embassy. This service applicants can use in all, without exception, the CC of Russia.
The advantage of this service is that the applicant, while the documents are pending, has the opportunity to travel outside the Russian Federation. After the decision of the officer of the border control service concerning the application to the applicant, a notification will be sent to the e-mail address.
If the decision is positive, then the applicant needs to present the original of the passport to the visa center within 21 days after receiving the notification. The foreign passport with the glued visa is returned to the owner no later than seven working days after the filing. So, the applicant can simultaneously wait for a decision and resolve his current affairs, traveling to other countries. Passports will not be in your hands for more than one week.
What are the categories of the service?
This service is used when submitting documents not only for long-term, but also for short-term visas. From the long-term it is:
- business / general visit / family visit from 2 years and more;
- Tier 1 and 2 visas;
- departure for permanent residence;
- Representative of a foreign company.
Short-term visas are a Tier 5 visa and an athlete or visitor to the Olympic Games, but in this case a review of the submitted documents is required.
Important! This service is not applied for the category Tier 4 of the scoring system of the report.
It is important to note that the VCs can not guarantee a mandatory receipt of any kind of visa. All applications are individually considered in strict accordance with the immigration rules of Britain. At any stage of registration, the applicant must be ready for delay, and at any time the border officer may require the original of the foreign passport.
The service for accepting an application without a passport is not included in the visa fee. It is provided to the applicant at will and for a fee that is £ 40.00.
