School description

The American Jewish Academy was founded in 1996 by Maurice Chico Sabbah and his wife, Zmira. In 1999, the founding family acquired 100 acres of forest with a lake in Greensboro, North Carolina. In 2001, the American Hebrew Academy opened its doors to 77 students. They began program on a campus built on ecologically clean land using advanced technologies integrated into each classroom. Today, students, teachers enjoy modern classrooms, sports facilities, student dormitories and modern technologies in a caring, but strict academic environment with a rich Jewish culture, global perspectives.

The American Jewish Academy is the only international Jewish preparatory boarding school in the world, an elite educational institution with highly qualified teaching staff and professional staff.

High School Diploma - 14-18 years old

The American Jewish Academy offers a curriculum based on the traditional High-School program, as well as additional courses in Judaism. The value of a double program is the adaptation of students to continuous work in parallel educational areas. Graduates note the ease with which they can navigate the workload of a college course after graduating from an academy. The integration of the standard course in the humanities, natural sciences, and the Hebrew language study program is a unique feature of the school’s academic program, which includes a period of study in Israel and has no analogues in any other school in the world.

The Academy offers 29 Advanced Placement courses in the following areas:

Short Term Program
