The Camps Lake Village Camps Lakefield School operates on the basis of one of Canada's most prestigious private colleges - Lakefield School: it was founded in 1879, and has royal patronage from the Earl of York Prince Andrew. 150 kilometers will separate the territory of the camp from Toronto - a camp located in the province of Ontario, occupies 155 acres of wooded thickets and fields on the shore of the purest lake of Katchevanka. This is the most environmentally friendly, safe and quiet area. The main building of the camp includes a spacious dining room, a modern educational theater and a music studio, functional scientific laboratories, equipped classrooms and a computer room, as well as a church for visiting students.

The classical program of staying at the Camps Lake Camps School summer camp includes various activities (five - throughout the day) for one hour. At the beginning of each week, the student chooses for himself the most attractive type of classes from a fairly extensive list:

  • Regular ESL + Intensive ESL

The course is intended for students for whom English is not native, they teach it as borrowed. Depending on the chosen intensity (standard or advanced), students attend 10 to 15 lessons per week. Also, each participant chooses for their taste 2-3 optional classes - sports, active or creative - which also visits every day. Training groups are deliberately formed in small, up to 15 people maximum: this allows the teacher to give each student a maximum of attention, carefully monitor the academic achievements and successes of students.

  • Activities Camp

All kinds of active and sport activities are available to students on campus: from football and tennis to archery and windsurfing. Fans of water sports will enjoy the opportunity to swim by canoe and kayaks. Each day, participants of this program attend 5 different sessions of one hour duration - each week the list of classes can be changed, focusing on one's own interests and needs.

  • English as a second language

Classes are held in small groups of up to 15 people in each (usually about 10). In total, pupils attend 10 language classes on a weekly basis. Teaching is conducted on three levels in accordance with the level of knowledge of students: before the beginning of the course each student undergoes special testing that will determine his level of knowledge and distribute it to the appropriate group.

  • Wilderness Education.

This course aims to use unique open natural classes, to study nature and the environment, to study Canadian wild landscapes, to discover them Uniqueness and identity. Weekly pupils expect 10 language lessons (groups are formed quite small - up to 10 people). To pass the program you need to confirm good knowledge of English (minimum mean).

Together with experienced teachers, students will learn how to quickly put up a night, build a fire and cook food, predict the weather according to natural signs, navigate the terrain with maps and a compass. Accommodation and food

Camp The Village Camps Lakefield school provides students with comfortable and comfortable accommodation in 10 common residences, each designed for approximately 20 people:

Boys and girls live separately from each other: there are bedrooms for 2-3 people, pupils are placed according to the age index. In each of the residences a comfortable rest room is equipped, as well as a tutor, who provides child safety around the clock.

A fully equipped medical center is located on the territory, a duty nurse is constantly on duty, and in 2 km from the territory there is a large clinic, in 18 kilometers there is a hospital (about 15 minutes drive by camp transport). Each employee of the summer camp is trained in first aid techniques, owns the rescue technique on the water. On the territory of the camp, there is a restriction on the use of mobile phones, so employees do not recommend bringing them with them: in each residence have pay phones with international communication function.

Children's meals are organized three times a day according to the free buffet scheme, and there are also evening snacks.
