The Croydon School was founded in the center of the Croydon of the same name as early as in 1874, but in 1966 it moved to the southern regions, thereby acquiring an additional 20 acres of adjacent territory, expanding and improving its infrastructure. The distance to London is 25 kilometers, to the largest airports Gatwick and Heathrow - 32 and 48 kilometers respectively. The school is located south of London, you can get to the center in minutes. The program can be booked for individual students as well as for study groups. The term of the program can be from 1 to 4 weeks - the students independently choose for themselves the duration of the course, focusing on their own preferences, opportunities and desires.

Every week, students attend 15 academic sessions - this balanced intensity allows to achieve significant language and educational progress, and leaves time for rest, leisure, interesting activities and excursions. The class includes a maximum of 15 students: the school's specialists try to make so that within a single group there are as many representatives of different countries as possible, form groups internationally. For every 10 people there is one highly qualified teacher with the obligatory ELF accreditation: pupils can count on an individual approach and due amount of attention to everyone. Lessons are conducted in an interesting, dynamic, interactive format, much attention is paid to the development of communicative abilities and skills of fluent oral speech.

  • Trinity Exam

We offer students the opportunity to pass the Trinity College Oral Examinations (GESE) to get a qualification in spoken English. These exams are authoritative among educational institutions in many European countries. Our experienced EFL teachers test students, distribute them to appropriate levels and provide an additional five hours of intensive spoken English each week. Students are fully prepared for oral tests, which are conducted by an external examiner Trinity.

This course is designed for a group of 15 students. The additional cost per student = 65 pounds. Dates: June 19 - August 28.

  • Super London Discovery

Stay on the program includes a series of excursions "Discover London": this is the best way to get to know the British capital , Its extraordinary culture and history. Also for students of the courses there are other interesting excursion trips (for example, to Windsor). Courses can be booked for individual students, and for study groups that plan joint travel and training.

Lessons are held at different times of the day: one week in the morning hours, the next at lunchtime (alternating), the rest of the time on campus pupils can participate in collective events, go on excursions or organize their leisure themselves.     The program allows students to combine the English language course with 8 hours of professional training under the program "Dances and Dramatic Literature". This course is ideal for groups and individual students who want to develop their skills in their chosen activities, as well as help significantly improve their auditing skills and spoken language during the performance.

    Accommodation and food

    Students are accommodated in comfort, on the principle of full boarding in host families - repeatedly tested, safe and respectable. Houses are most often located within walking distance from the school, the road to the academic building will not take long. In case the house is not close to the school, the family picks up and takes away their adoptives every day. Meals are organized according to the principle of full boarding, as a lunch the students receive a packed full lunch, as they are dining on the school grounds.

    EXAMPLE OF THE SCHEDULE OF THE DAY

    Classes for summer courses are held Monday to Friday, three academic hours per day. Each lesson is divided into two blocks:

    • Learning grammar, vocabulary, relevant exercises and practices

    • Training of oral speech, communication skills: use of game and role methods, interactive learning, attracting additional funds.

    After classes, students can engage in one of the many leisure activities and entertainments: playing football or tennis, basketball, dancing, visiting creative studios and workshops.In addition, there are 1 full-day excursion for a week and one for a few hours for each week of study.

    Example of a full day excursion:

    * Inspection of Windsor Castle and the surrounding area.

    For a few hours students also go on a classic sightseeing tour around London, visit the Natural History Museum, spend time cruising the Thames.
