Initially, Ellesmere College (England School of Ellesmere College with Football Academy) was founded as a school for boys (in 1884 it was opened under the auspices of the Anglican Church). Today it is a secular school of joint education that provides effective and balanced educational programs for students of 7-18 years: the relationship with the Anglican church is still warm and close, but the children of any confession and religion are accepted for the boarding school.
Ellesmere College is part of the Woodard Corporation, Britain's largest private boarding association, founded by the legendary Nathaniel Woodard. At school, each student has a mentor: he helps children in solving household, administrative and educational issues, maintains contact with parents and regularly reports on the progress and success of the student.
