Amadeus International School Vienna Amadeus Vienna private school reviews

Karina A.

I am studying at the IB program in the private school of Amadeus in Vienna. We chose this school together with our parents when we applied to Smapse: it was practically the only option for quality teaching, together with music classes at a practically professional level, which is important to me, because I've been playing the violin since my childhood. Similar options were still in theUSA , but in Austria it seemed somehow more pleasant, more traditional, or something ... and still in classical music Europe will be stronger than America.

The IB program is such preparation for the future university: we have been taught for two years by a small number of subjects. We choose them ourselves, but here we need to be careful and think carefully: the curriculum is difficult, intensive, very rich, the amount of information is simply enormous. Of course, everyone chooses those subjects that he will need in the future for the university - there is no sense to pore over mathematics if you go to a doctor, for example. But if you are confident in the choice - be prepared for the fact that studies will take almost all the time.

Music helps me to relax: the descriptions of the school are not whitewashed by an iota - for music there is really everything. I can study at any time in the studio, it's easy to find a partner or an accompanist, all of them are constantly grouped together and ensembles. It is especially pleasant to listen to jazz bands in the evenings - they have tremendous jams and improvisations.

At Amadeus school I go through the IB program: I decided to get a higher education in Europe, and for this I need to have a European certificate of education (IB is an international baccalaureate). Amadeus International School Vienna advised me directly at Smapse: I myself would not be able to orient myself in a variety of options. At a meeting with a specialist, I said what I would like and what my educational plans for the future were, told me about the education I had already received and about financial opportunities. The desired option was found almost immediately - I liked the photos from the campus, the feedback of students, came at the price and dates of the courses. Hello, Austria!

In the IB program, I like the fact that there are both compulsory subjects and electives that you choose yourself: this is the best way to prepare for the university - and you know the basic disciplines, and you have prepared the necessary subjects for you. The hardest thing is, perhaps, mathematics: I have a more humanitarian mindset, so classmates often explain something to me, do their homework together ... But the teachers have no complaints: they are more than attentive, they constantly ask what needs to be explained once more, you can Take an individual lesson or consultation.

In Austria, there are really a lot of music fans - in our school there is a special department where you can get a classical musical education. With future musicians, we often intersect on vacation, various events, they arrange concerts - it's all fun and very interesting, in such an atmosphere it is nice to learn!
I think that I will finish the IB course successfully and already then I will choose a university for admission - I will turn again to Smapse, I like their professionalism and in a good sense of the word unobtrusiveness.

Karasev Alexey and Vera, private school Amadeus International School

Our 12-year-old daughter Nastya is a very independent person. Therefore, given her ability and desire to learn other languages, we decided to send her to study in Vienna, in the private school of Amadeus .

The staff of the SMASS "laid out" everything on the shelves - in the comments about this school, thank you very much! We wanted my daughter to study in English. She learns German as a second language. The daughter also deals with additional piano lessons.

What else we want to mention is the good reputation of the private school and the high percentage of graduates entering the best universities in Europe.

At first we were very worried about Nastya and decided to visit her in Vienna. The boarding house, where Nastya resides, is very comfortable and cozy, the staff are very polite, not like in our country.

By the way, she lives in a room with the same age from the Czech Republic, she does not complain about food except for certain moments. One is upset: she misses us and our city very much.

In the school we had an introductory tour, classes were shown, my wife and I were able to talk with teachers in our broken English. Teachers in the school are sensitive and attentive.
